My professional career will be guided by a deep personal sense of responsibility driven by my belief that our civilization is at a critical juncture. This crisis has come about because of inefficiencies in both the way we use electricity and the way we construct our buildings. I will continue my education throughout my life so that I may be at the top of the energy field. I will apply my knowledge to my place of work but to every aspect of my life. My mission is to make a lasting impact in the world I live in for every inhabitant of the earth.
My name is Devon Guyette and I am a graduate from Lane Community College with an Associates degree in Energy Management. In my time at Lane Community College I excelled in all of my classes by averaging a 4.0 GPA in my energy management courses. I have worked to enhance my education by taking more advanced level classes in Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD. I am a member of many professional organizations including Oregon Association for Professional Energy Managers (APEM) and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air
I am currently employed with SOLARC Architecture and Engineering in Eugene Oregon. I have worked in their energy division as a Energy Analyst since graduating in June of 2011. While working there I have been involved in several large projects revolving around schools and new construction. I have conducted five SB1149 energy audits on Elementary, Middle and High Schools in the Salem-Keizer and Redmond School Districts. I was also heavily involved with the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) School Audits Initiative. The ODOE School Audit Initiative was the auditing of 400 schools in Oregon and creating reports that looked at implementation cost and energy savings for 33 prescriptive measures. These audits are currently helping schools gain funding to implement these measures. In addition to working with schools, I have also worked on projects that used energy modeling with EQuest for new construction.
